PowerFull Fitness

From the ground up!  6 + years of work to build a small business brand.

I would not have a small business if it were not for Leslie. She is able to take my jumbled thoughts and ideas and make them into a marketable masterpiece. She makes our business come to life with her graphics and user friendly interfaces for Facebook, blogs, and websites. She hears what I want and turns it into what I need and that is a true gift.
Laura Waller

Owner, PowerFull Fitness

The background:

Way back in 2014, my BFF Laura came to me with an idea… a tiny idea to create a community of women who were realistic, practical and determined.  Her young family had just moved to a new area where she knew no one.  Exercising was a form of self care for her during the long days of young motherhood.  The only problem: she couldn’t find a gym that worked with her schedule AND had childcare for her kids.  Knowing she wasn’t alone, she decided to make a safe space for her kids to play and find friends while she exercised and found friends too!  Enter PowerFull Fitness.

Over the course of 6+ years, we worked tirelessly to grow PowerFull Fitness.  From the beginning, we designed around bright, bold, colorful looks taking inspiration from her logo design and the feelings of community and connection she wanted to achieve.  I worked from the back end creating all the resources she needed and she worked the front getting her name and idea out into the world.  We constantly worked together to make sure she had everything she needed to put her best business foot forward into the world.  As she grew in her business, I also grew in my design and web knowledge.  We worked tirelessly through many website redesigns, troubleshooting best practices for navigating social media spaces and online payment processing companies.  Basically anytime she had the vision, I had the “can-do” attitude to make it come alive!

Pre-COVID, PowerFull Fitness was thriving.  Like with every other business during COVID, we pivoted to meet the needs of her clients focusing even more on virtual platforms and creating graphics to connect community.  As things changed, so did PowerFull Fitness.  We were able to successfully adapt her giant WordPress website to a smaller, more affordable Google Sites website.  Her smaller number of clients still get the same great content they needed to make each session work and Laura got to keep the business afloat during the tumultuous time with a smaller overhead.

I learned so much on the graphic and web design front through the hard work it took creating a thriving business from scratch.  Grit, tenacity, flexibility, communication… and how to make graphics that tell the story of YOUR brand.  Below you find some samples of work I completed for Laura and her business, PowerFull Fitness, since its inception.
