Agape Books & Cafe

Custom small business branding package and more!

The background:

When Jennifer and I sat down the summer of 2019 at a local Starbucks, she poured out her vision and mission for her new local Christian bookstore. Most of the physical locations had closed down and she had a heart for community and connection.

We designed the perfect logo for her brand – bright, warm, and inviting. This set us on the journey to build all of her branded supplies including custom brochures, store signage, and the design she took to her local sign maker who manufactured her store front sign.

Our on-going business relationship proved to be beneficial for both of us.  Because we had such a great working relationship and I got to know Jennifer and her brand, I was able to complete more graphic services for her throughout her time in business.  She would often say “Here are the words I need it to say, now go work your magic!”  It was such a gift to help her further her vision and brand and cheer her on during her first year of business.

Once I was done with the logo design process, I sent Jennifer a proposal with different ideas of the logo use so she could envision it in real life.

Business cards for print at a local office supply store.

Designed and created in store signage to be printed onsite.

This is where the magic happened! Jennifer gave me the text and said “now work your magic” and I did! From basic copywriting to adding finishing touches with the tiny cup and book part of their logo design, this brochure went from a simple text document to one we were both proud of!

Made a mini-brand for Agape’s Kids Club. This was a poster designed to be printed and hung in the store. It also doubled as a social media file.

This shows how a digital print comes to life! One of the iterations of this sign in the store window.

For ease of use, most of our client documents are housed online. This way Jennifer could access what she needed no matter where she was. We could easily collaborate in an online document making it a snap for her to jot down ideas of things she needed as they came up. It also allowed me to grab those ideas and work on them as time permitted during the month.
